Deanne has been practising law in Newfoundland & Labrador for over 28 years. She gained valuable experience at a large Atlantic Law firm based in St. John’s for the first half of her career, where she practiced many areas of law, including insurance work and construction law. Deanne has appeared at the Supreme Court of Newfoundland & Labrador and the Newfoundland & Labrador Court of Appeal on various cases. She moved to Corner Brook with her family in 2004 and was entranced by the beauty and lifestyle the West Coast offers.

Deanne loves the outdoor life on the West Coast and can be found hiking, kayaking, skiing or working on her cabin in her spare time. The West Coast has provided a bounty of outdoor living which she fell in love with from the start.

Deanne believes in giving back to the community in which she lives. She is a Board Director for the Corner Brook Port Corporation, promoting economic development in the Western Region. She enjoys supporting sports groups such as CB Minor Soccer, Corner Brook Royals, local volleyball teams, and the local Food Bank through Penney & Brown Law.

Deanne has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Co-Op) from MUN and Law Degree from UNB. She was called to the Bar in Newfoundland and Labrador in 1993 and is a member of the Atlantic Trial Lawyers Association and the Canadian Bar Association.

Jill is passionate about helping people. She loves achieving fair results for her clients both inside and outside of the courtroom. Her primary areas of practice are Personal Injury, Wills and Estate Planning and Family Law. She has over 25 years experience resolving legal issues for her clients, helping them move forward with their lives.

Jill grew up in Corner Brook and is grateful that she and her husband Aubrey have had the opportunity to raise their two children in her hometown, just a stone’s throw away from her parents, Rex and Elaine. It’s her privilege to provide legal services to the residents of the region and province she loves.

In her spare time you can find Jill on the hiking trails or on stage, dancing and acting. To make up for her limited artistic talents, through Penney & Brown Law, she supports arts organizations in the community including: the Rotary Arts Centre, Nuit 150, CB Petit Nuit, and the Bay of Islands Musical Arts.

Jill has degrees in Biology and Law from Dalhousie University. She was called to the Bar in Newfoundland and Labrador in 1996, and is a member of the Atlantic Trial Lawyers Association and the Canadian Bar Association.

Katrina grew up on the South West Coast in the Town of Isle aux Morts. In her spare time she loves to travel whether it is to a theme park, a national park, a concert, a new city, or a beach. If she’s not working or off on a new adventure, Katrina loves to spend quality time with her family and creating beautiful handmade crafts. Katrina gives back to the community as a Director of the YMCA of Western NL.

Katrina has a degree in Psychology from Memorial University (Sir Wilfred Grenfell Campus) and a degree in Law from the University of New Brunswick. She was called to the Bar in Newfoundland and Labrador in 2007 and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association.

Janet takes a down-to-earth approach with her clients, providing considered advice, honest treatment and compassionate advocacy. She is not afraid to go the extra mile. Her dedicated areas of practice are Personal Injury, Family Law, Wills and Estates Planning and Real Estate.

Janet grew up in Corner Brook and is closely connected to the Community. She volunteers much of her time to her son’s school and has served as a member of the Board of Directors for a number of local organizations including the Committee on Family Violence and Gros Morne Summer Music. She currently sits as co-chair of the Corner Brook Tennis Club, and is a member of Tennis Newfoundland and Labrador’s Provincial Board.

Janet enjoys skiing and snowshoeing in the winter, but mostly lives for Western Newfoundland’s beautiful summer months. She is an enthusiastic amateur gardener. She spends a lot of time in Gros Morne National Park camping and hiking with her family.

Janet graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) Degree in Classical Studies, and from Leicester University in the United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Laws. She was called to the Bar in 2017 and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association.
